1/2) A very lovely surprise birthday present
3) A birthday treat I bought myself from TK Maxx
4) My current favourite dress from the Zara sale
Just when I thought my presents couldn’t get any nicer, my Auntie comes and visits with this! I couldn’t believe it when I opened it! Although I have to establish one thing, however authentic it may look, it is (sadly) in fact an extremely good fake. This did pose a few ethical issues at first, if it was me I would never buy a fake for myself, but as it was a gift and so beautiful I just couldn’t say no! The sunglasses were a little treat I bought for myself once I finished my exams, I just loved the look of them (the fact they were £14 down from £85 also helped). It’s so nice just to be able to do anything without worrying about revision, I’ve been so busy since finishing exams, so far I’ve had induction days, been to exhibitions and currently I’m doing some really great work experience. I also went to the Hop Farm festival which was amazing.
French Vogue, I bought this as it was the last issue with Carine Riotfeld as editor. Whistles jumper (present for my mum), she opened this today for her birthday, I love giving presents to people. Sunglasses from Australia, my mum brought these back for me the day before my birthday as she had been in Australia for two weeks, however I lost them for ages but recently they cropped up in a really strange place.
T Shirt from Gap, there was a three for two offer on t shirts a couple of days ago so my mum and I bought a couple of white t shirts and this came free. Orange nail polish, at the moment bright nail polish is about as far as I’ll go in terms of ‘colour blocking’, I’m still getting used to it.
Cos cardigan, this is about two years old and has become my coziest cardigan to throw on whenever the temperature drops which can be at any time in England.
Old bag from Next, I’m currently on the hunt for a good bag that I can chuck everything into for the summer, especially for New York and Spain but this will have to do for the time being.
Skirt from American Apparel, I’m so pleased I asked for this skirt for christmas as it’s so easy to style at a moment’s notice and it’s proving really useful for spring and what will be chilly summers.
These are a few things that I love/have acquired recently. Sorry about the lack of posts, it’s just that I really need to work hard on school things for the next couple of months so that I can get the grades I need to get into my new school next year, I’ll still post though, I hope.
Yes I’m still here! Here are a couple of outfits from the last week or so. I’ve neglected this blog a little as I’ve been busy revising for my GCSEs, but hopefully it’ll lead to a good thing so I’m just working as hard as possible. Two more days until easter which I’m looking forward to, hope everyone is well!
At the moment Market HQ are holding a great giveaway where everybody wins! All you have to do is go onto their website and chose your 3 favourite looks, then post them onto your blog and leave a comment, how cool? Here is their giveaway rules, at the end there will also be a draw to win $200 so good luck!
Thinking of saving up for these two babies, I think they’d be so perfect for summer/ sixth form uniform. I didn’t realise it was possible to feel so excited and terrified at the same time but the fact I only have 6 six school weeks left at my current school and no definite places at other schools has given me that exact feeling. I have however completed all of my history controlled assessments, only two more french ones and I’m done! I also won two awards at dance yesterday, just thought you might want to know…
Top H&M, vintage belt, skirt american apparel and shoes new look.
As usual, I loved the simple tailoring of Margaret Howell’s AW11 collection. I love how she can make quite masculine pieces look so feminine, I especially loved the backwards belts. This has been one of the few collections I could see myself actually wearing (if I had the money!).
